Product Description
Hand-carved out of a solid block of 390 million year fossil stone, this is the last and best large fossil stone bowl we retained from once offering these years ago in our shop. This was in our private collection because it was the best of all we had ever imported. This bowl was carved by a highly skilled artisan who used the finest Devonian fossil stone loaded with prehistoric Goniatite ammonoid creatures that once swam in the ancient seas of what is now North Africa. The workmanship, polish and sculptural features make this such a masterpiece accent piece - perfect as an unforgettable gift for any occasion, or in the home or office as an incredible accent piece! A naturally occurring large goniatite fossil was oriented to be featured off to the side with a spiral sculpt to the stone as it comes up off the bowl surface.
