Product Description
This is a choice grade complete fossil tooth of a Platecarpus sp. mosasaur from the Oulad Abdoun Basin of Morocco. It was dug from the mines comprising the Maastrichtian phosphates of the Ganntour Basin (Morocco). It displays a beautiful naturally lustrous enamel and sharp tip.
Over twenty years ago, we originated the phrase that "Mosasaurs were the T. rex of the Cretaceous seas". No truer statement could be made - they were ideal hunter-killers of their marine environment and had no equal!
