If you were trying to build a collection of all the Ice Age megafauna that existed in Europe with prehistoric humans, many species would be easy to acquire major fossils of.  Some would be difficult and some could take a lifetime to find and still yield nothing.  THIS IS ONE OF THOSE RARE SPECIES that you might never see another fossil of again from Ice Age Europe.  Offered here is THE ONLY fossil partial skull with horn cores of a prehistoric MOUNTAIN SHEEP of the Ovis genus.  Our decades long experience in Europe has brought us to witness some of the most amazing public and private collections of Ice Age European fossils but NEVER have we seen anything of this animal that was Pleistocene in nature. 

Dredged simultaneously in Central Europe with Mammoth and Rhino fossils, this specimen is intact and exactly as found.  It came from a private museum collection and still has the collection number inside the cranium.  The bone has been stabilized but nothing else was done to this EXCEPTIONALLY RARE fossil.  A true ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME find!!!    A highly recommended fossil for a public institution.  We are certain we will never see another!
