Product Description
This is a trilobite that once thrived during the Middle Ordovician Period in Wales. It is of the species Ogygiocarella debuchi. The size of this specimen is unusually large and the trilobite is complete with compression against the host rock. It is on its original rock as found and only a sealer has been applied to increase the visibility of the detail. There is no repair as the rock is intact with no damage to the trilobite. These trilobites were alive when the first land plants emerged on the planet. This was the first scientifically described trilobite! A fantastic specimen for a well-diversified collection.
