In the past several years, many new fascinating invertebrate fossils have been discovered in the rich deposits of southern Morocco's Fezouata Formation located in the Draa Valley.  Only discovered in the late 1990's, this formation is revealing to the scientific world, a remarkable assemblage of preserved early life forms from the Early Ordovician Period formerly not well displayed in the Earth's fossils record on the level seen here.  The Fezouata biota is vast, comprising over 50 taxa to date and displaying many spectacular examples of soft-body preservation of bizarre, delicate invertebrate creatures.  The deposit is to the Ordovician Period what the famous Burgess Shale fossils are to the Cambrian Period.  The fossils display deep sea marine life in rare form with preservation similar to the famous Chengjiang site of China.  

With this offering we present an  ULTRA-RARE lichid trilobite just recently discovered and as of this posting, not yet named or published.  We have seen only a couple specimens of this rare type and by far, this example is not only the best, but it is perfect in every way without room for improvement.  Every delicate appendage and anatomical feature is 100% complete and fossilized in a stunning bright salmon red hue, famous to this deposit.  For the ultimate in RARE TRILOBITE collections, this is an absolute must and more rare than most of the Burgess Shale fossils as these are scarcer and currently with no restrictions on sale or digging so their absence from the market is purely out of rarity, not legislation.   NO REPAIR OR FABRICATION.
