CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT TRILOBITES
This is a rare type of Homalonotid trilobite that we have not seen before in the numerous trips we've made to Morocco. The source in Morocco called it Trimerus but it is most likely a scientifically un-named species as Morocco is home to so many new trilobites being discovered every year. The specimen shows two very large naturally-occurring trilobites together on typical caramel colored brown host rock from the Ordovician deposits in the Anti-Atlas range of Morocco. The condition of the trilobites is very good with some minor loss and erosion on the surface of the carapaces. One of the trilobites is in pristine condition with a well-preserved cephalon, both eyes and a tucked under pygidium.
For the collector of obscure and rare varieties of trilobites, this large and scarce example is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
