    Regarding fossil dinosaur teeth, sauropod teeth are rarely discovered in the same fine condition as theropod teeth.  Feeding on plant material rather than other struggling dinosaurs, the teeth of herbivorous sauropods were not designed to take punishment like meat-eating dinosaur teeth so their structure is not as durable.  What this translates to is that they are seldom found preserved as well as meat-eating dinosaur teeth.  Sauropod dinosaur teeth of equal quality, compared to those from a carnivorous dinosaur, are more rare and their absence from the market demonstrates that. 

    This is the SMALLEST tooth from an unidentified BABY DIPLODOCOID sauropod dinosaur of North Africa.  This tooth possesses a flattened, spoon-shaped form and is only a fraction of the size of most sauropod teeth found in this deposit.  It is also a different form indicating this could be from a yet to be described species and type.  COMPLETE WITH NO REPAIR OR RESTORATION.
