This spectacular Megalodon shark tooth comes from the largest shark that ever graced our planet, once roaming the ancient seas in the Miocene to Pliocene Periods. This INVESTMENT GRADE Megalodon tooth is loaded with so many features desired by advanced Megalodon tooth collectors. Teeth like these are getting certainly harder to come by in today's market. Current and increasing future demand will never be satisfied by the dwindling numbers of the truly top grade specimens such as this beauty, hence their constantly increasing prices each year.
The mesmerizing tooth boasts of a BLUISH SILVER naturally lustrous enamel with CHATOYANT FLASHES. It possesses every HIGHLY PRIZED feature of the finest INVESTMENT GRADE Megalodon teeth. This tooth's high luster is NATURAL and unlike many other teeth on the market, has not been machine polished, dipped in oil, floor polish, car wax or coated with some type of artificial shine. The light brown root is extremely dense and with the swirled blue and black bourlette, they wonderfully compliment the glossy enamel. Serrations and tip are complete with only the slightest natural feeding wear. Blade edges where the serrations meet the root on either side are unbroken. There are tons of Megalodon teeth out there on the market that will never be worth the money you pay for them and truckloads have been found for every single tooth that is of this quality.

Despite selling many superb, investment-grade Megalodon teeth over the past years, each year becomes INCREASINGLY difficult to acquire fossil teeth of this level. Teeth like this are nearly impossible to find now, this one coming from a diver's private collection. To have a single tooth in your collection of this caliber can give much more pride and enjoyment than having a room filled with mediocre, junk teeth. We advise collectors all the time, of this principal. It is true for any rare collectible - BUY THE BEST. Most often, we see collectors spending a fortune over time when added up, on junk. The sum of what was spent could have purchased a few incredible specimens. For every tooth that a diver finds of this quality, thousands of junk teeth are found and it is these that you typically see for sale. Sure they sell for much less but they will NEVER go up in price - there are simply too many of the common teeth.
Divers will tell you that Megalodon teeth like this are extremely difficult to find in today's waters. Megalodon teeth found in rivers are almost always heavily eroded and worn from the high energy environment in which they were subjected to. They usually have dull, sand-blasted enamel, peeling back from the core. The roots are often damaged. While we strictly avoid Megalodon teeth with restoration or repair, Caveat emptor as some Megalodon teeth in dealers' inventories in the larger sizes and "seemingly" fine qualities, have repair or restoration and this is not often disclosed to the buyer accurately either because of ignorance or dishonesty.
