Product Description
Despite our company being located in one of North America's richest vertebrate fossil-bearing regions, this is the second time we have had the rare pleasure of offering any PREHISTORIC SEAL fossils of Florida.  To call this specimen set RARE is an understatement.  It is a complete LEFT fossil humerus (upper forelimb) bone and fossil radius (lower forelimb) bone of a member of the phocine seals and dates back to the Oligocene / Miocene Period. Both bones are in PRISTINE preservation.  Bone detail is superb with every anatomical aspect intact and well-preserved.  Pinniped post-cranial material like this from Florida is ULTRA SCARCE.  An ideal addition for highly diversified, advanced collectors.
