Product Description
With its rich red-orange hues and large natural limestone rock plate, this is an incredibly aesthetic display fossil of one VERY LARGE Platypeltoides magrebiensis Asaphus trilobite. It comes from the Lower Ordovician to Late Tremadocian of the Fezouata Formation in Zagora, Morocco. The stone plate is approximately 2 inches thick and features a natural back and natural sides, with a natural face on parts of the display side. The trilobite is fully inflated and slightly pushed to one side. It has excellent detail and stunning, red and gold natural hues, complimenting the surrounding red and warm butter yellow limestone in which it was found.
This is a large display piece that is unique due to the colors and size. Perfect for any interior setting and of an uncommon color compared to what is usually found on the market.
