SEE MORE WOOLLY RHINOCEROS FOSSILS
Fossils of the famous Woolly Rhinoceros of the final Ice Age, are not common. Post-cranial bones are seldom found. Aside from vertebra and an occasional limb bone, this is the first time we have ever had the pleasure of offering a fossil pelvis of this iconic beast. This is the right pelvis of a Woolly Rhino, found in a gravel quarry off the Rhine River in southwest Germany. Because of its rarity, we opted to simply reassemble it from the large pieces it was found in, and stop there. There is no filling of cracks or restoring any missing portions, making it a fantastic display specimen for its purity as it was originally discovered.
