CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT SEA URCHINS (ECHINOIDS)
This is a lab-cleaned pair of fossil echinoids from the Cretaceous Period. They are both Echinocorys sp. examples with one being freed of matrix and the other still attached to its original limestone in which it was found. Both have been microscopically cleaned to reveal anatomical detail and structure of the test. The loose one was fractured in prehistory but the fracturing runs along the structural lines of the test so the detail is fascinating. Both are fully inflated. These make an interesting fossil to display some of the other life-forms that were on our planet at the same time as some of the largest predatory dinosaurs that ever lived. This is a pair of 100% NATURAL specimens and were prepared by us. There is NO REPAIR and NO RESTORATION.
