CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT HADROSAURS
Collected from the famous Hell Creek Formation of Northwestern U.S.A., this is a lower lumbar vertebra from an Edmontosaurus. It is in excellent condition and unlike many dinosaur bones offered for sale, lacks any artificial reconstruction or fabrication. The repairs have not even been filled or covered to show exactly what work has been done. The reason for offering it in this condition is the fact that it is an excellent candidate for research due to the evidence of disease in the dramatic porosity in the centrum. The transverse foramen also show fully fused closures.
There is a good amount of the original dorsal and transverse processes. It has a complete neural canal which has been left full of sandstone. This is the predominant hadrosaur that can be found in the Hell Creek Formation of Northwestern U.S.A.. It is rare to find dinosaur vertebra with an intact spinal canal where the nerve cord ran through down the dinosaur's back. This specimen represents a supreme quality example. Repair to the top processes but NO FABRICATION. An impressive and affordable dinosaur vertebra to display with other dinosaur fossils.
