This is an amazing decorator display fossil as much as it would be an unusual and rare addition to any advanced ammonite collection. Specimens like this are EXTREMELY RARE and seldom seen on the market. The rarity of these specimens cannot be overstated. Their completeness and quality of preservation EXCEEDS anything seen from this region in professional scientific and museum collections. Not only are these ammonite fossils we are offering from this collection beautiful to look at, they are extremely uncommon and exceedingly rare to the most advanced collector.
Larger than any ammonite group we have ever offered before, this ENORMOUS mass cluster includes 28 different COMPLETE ammonite sea life fossils in the finest preservation we have seen from this site and deposit in Morocco. Ammonites make a pleasing interior accent decor fossil but the size and concentration of these superb and scarce types makes this one of the best architectural accent fossils we have ever offered and a great value considering the prize, size and overall rarity. The slab is so large, it is like a wall of ammonites. The back is flat and has been epoxy-reinforced. This piece could be either hung on a wall or set on a stand but it comes without either so the end buyer can custom tailor the application of this specimen.
The range of species of these varies but includes rare examples of Emileia bulligeraa, Sonninia papillata, Harpoceras, Lytoceras, Stephanoceras sp., Witchellia sayni and Shirbuirnia trigonalis, natilus sp.. Each ammonite is an excellent example of their respective kinds, on their host rock in full three dimensional form. All ammonites are wonderfully preserved in a fully inflated form. The ammonites all have full high relief and on the matrix, the group displays as a superb multi-dimensional display that MUST be seen in person to fully grasp and appreciate. This exceptional fossil ammonite group is far nicer than they appear in the photos. These species are all found together in the Middle Jurassic Bajocian sediments of the Central High Atlas mountains in Morocco and all come from the same site, but they have partially been assembled onto the rock with others. Each ammonite shows rare shell detail as well as full inflation with no distortion. Perfect to accompany any advanced fossil marine life collection as well as a stunning and highly unique interior design fossil of pure natural history! ALL AMMONITES ARE 100% GENUINE AND FROM THE SAME DEPOSIT.
This is not only a RARE fossil but one that can impress and captivate even the most scientifically disinterested audience. With our highest recommendation for the ultimate in a rare prehistoric sea life fossil or the most visually impacting, three-dimensional interior design piece you could ask for. At a fraction of the price of modern art and yet, this is the "real deal". A genuine, authentic remnant of a monster of the ancient sea.
