Product Description
This is an EXTREMELY RARE fossil tooth from a baby prehistoric flying reptile from North Africa known as a PTEROSAUR. This pterosaur tooth comes from a pterosaur named Siroccopteryx moroccoensis. In over 25 years, this is THE ONLY baby pterosaur tooth we have ever had or even seen from the Kem Kem deposits! There is very slight natural feeding damage on the tip but it is in otherwise, perfect and complete preservation.
With an estimated wingspan of nearly 20 feet, this anhanguerid ranks amongst the largest pterosaurs known. There have been comparisons of this creature to other anhanguerid species known from the Early Cretaceous of Brazil. Only jaw fragments and teeth have been discovered from Morocco and much has yet to be learned about this fascinating and giant flying reptile from prehistory.
