CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT DROMAEOSAURS
This is a classic dromaeosaur "raptor" dinosaur tooth. It shows beautiful DARK color. It has been a long time since we had a dromaeosaur tooth of this size to offer! There's a tiny nick near the tip, from feeding damage when the dinosaur was alive but this tooth is otherwise, amazing and LARGE! This tooth is INTACT WITH NO RESTORATION AND NO REPAIR. The serrations run sharp and detailed down the entire length. The tip is unbroken and the tooth is complete. Most dromaeosaurs were only knee-high and about the size of small dogs, hence the very small teeth that are usually found.
Many African dinosaurs are yet undiscovered and/or identified. Saharan expeditions in the recent years have yielded incredible new discoveries of many species never known to exist including dromaeosaurs. There are likely several species of African dromaeosaurs, ranging from the size of a peacock up to the size of Velociraptor, that have never been attributed based on wide ranging characteristics of the teeth.
