Product Description
In its massive proportions, this ENORMOUS polished and drilled barrel bead in mottled brown and gray serpentine is one way to have been noticed in the Inca Empire from which it originates. It is massive and despite the ancient chipping on one end, is remarkably well polished and made. We cannot recall the last time we have seen a single bead of such gigantic proportions. This would have definitely been a PRESTIGE piece and an ultimate display of nobility and/or wealth. Ends are drilled and the stone's original polish is exceptionally well-preserved. The ultimate trophy of body adornment in this culture as well as fanciers of ancient beads.
