Product Description
These CAPSIAN TRADITION flake tools were found on an exposed African Neolithic site in the Sahara Desert in Northwest Africa. Each was masterfully fashioned by African Neolithic humans (Homo sapiens sapiens) between 10,000 and 4,700 years ago.
This choice grade kit represents three superb examples of stone tool types of this period, an END SCRAPER, a COMBINATION END / SIDE SCRAPER and a PUSH PLANE. These tools are of the finest quality and intact. The end scraper was fashioned on a thin flake and shows bifacial working. The push plane is uncommon and as perfect as can be. It would make an extraordinary reference example of this unique tool. All tools exhibit the highest degree of skill in workmanship. Most highly recommended for reference and display.
