CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT GIANT SLOTHS
This TOP-grade caniform tooth is from the giant ground sloth species Pliometanastes protistus. This is an uncommon fossil tooth from one of North America's bizarre creatures of the last Ice Age and it is seldom seen in typical private collections. The tooth is in pristine condition - 100% complete unbroken, museum quality specimen. The entire tooth is well preserved with a complete chewing surface and lacking typical pitting and erosion of common examples found. The hollow root portion is even still attached. The color is a very beautiful rich mix of light and dark browns. Guaranteed NO REPAIR and NO RESTORATION. This beauty is AS FOUND!
