CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT CARCHARODONTOSAURUS
This is a beautifully colored, large fossil dinosaur tooth from the largest known meat-eating dinosaur, Carcharodontosaurus. It is complete except for a .25" filled area where it broke and the joint of the break was too damaged to salvage. It looks like the tooth is a composite of two different teeth but the trailing edge is wavy through the repair, it's not a mismatching of the teeth parts. Also, the color and graining match with a more mottled base but the same bi-colors in the mottling on the tip. This is common where a tooth from this dinosaur when large, has more patterns near the bottom as opposed to the tip area. It is also typical that serrations run larger near the tip and become reduced in size near the base. It is a shame since everything else on this tooth aside from the filling, is 100% gem! If it were not for this filled part, this tooth would sell for MANY TIMES this price so here is a chance to get an otherwise killer tooth from THE LARGEST meat-eating dinosaur, without selling your first-born child. The very end of the tip has a different lighter color but this is natural and the close up images show no repair and a perfect anatomical continuation of the serrations.
