Product Description
This is a spectacular 100% natural plate of impeccably preserved Ordovician CARPOIDS of the type Dendrocystites sp.. The detail is remarkable with plainly visible ossicles even on the bodies of the carpoid fossils. There are 6 complete and partial carpoids with four being complete with all anatomy. All of these carpoids show rare evidence of seldom seen preservation in various anatomical features. The rock is original and none have been added to make a larger grouping. The rock shows beautiful layer and original sedimentary flow lines.Large carpoid display fossils are rare and with all the important anatomy of this type of echinoderm visible in this specimen, this is a MUST for collectors of the finest grade of diverse prehistoric fauna.
