CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT SPINOSAURUS
This fossil lower thoracic vertebra is from a juvenile Spinosaurus dinosaur. It is nearly complete and missing only the tip of one transverse and dorsal process. The preservation is stunning with a rich natural gold hue. We micro-blasted this specimen in our lab but the remaining sand is silicified to the surface in some areas. The strong mineralization of the sediment caused the exceptional preservation in the bone detail. Rarely are fossil dinosaur vertebrae found in this condition or level of completeness!
