    Product Description

    This large mosasaur fossil is a block of the original Cretaceous sea floor bed that has been removed from the fossil-bearing layer in Khouribga, Morocco.  On it are displayed portions of large jaws of an adult mosasaur of TWO types - Mosasaurus sp. and Platecarpus sp..   You can see parts of the jaws which feature teeth with crowns measuring 1.5+ inches in length!  There are numerous other bones and teeth from prehistoric sharks and fish that lived with (and likely were eaten by) mosasaurs such as these.   While the vast majority of mosasaur jaws in matrix are fakes and composites made of pieces of many different mosasaurs as well as artificially created bone portions, this specimen is authentic and original 100% GENUINE bones and teeth.
