Collected from the famous Hell Creek Formation of Northwestern U.S.A., this is a fossil dinosaur tooth from one of the most famous dinosaurs of all time, the duck-billed dinosaurs called HADROSAURS. This tooth is from Edmontosaurus annectens, the predominant hadrosaur species that lived alongside Tyrannosaurus rex and swift moving packs of dromaeosaur "raptor" dinosaurs, in the Cretaceous Period. This tooth is complete and was originally ejected from the dinosaur's mouth when it was alive and feeding. It features excellent preservation, is natural as found, and is offered at a very affordable price.
Hadrosaurs were the predominant food source of the predators of Hell Creek. They were herbivores and lived in herds like modern day cattle. Hell Creek is known as "the Valley of the T. rex!". The "duck-billed" Hadrosaurs and the "horned" dinosaurs like Triceratops, were common prey for many large meat-eating dinosaurs of the famed region.
