The Cyphaspis trilobite (previously known as Otarion) is a fascinating and delicate creature of the ancient seas. The graceful trailing spines make are quite conspicuous for its otherwise compact geometry. This exquisite specimen was carefully prepared with utmost care using microblasting technology in an effort to reveal every minute detail. The result is meticulous removal of all matrix and complete preservation of the most minute natural details. All spines are genuine on this fine example and have been carefully exposed with the supporting original limestone matrix. Trilobite is of a stunning quality with delicate pustulose detail on the surface of the carapace.
