CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT MOUSTERIAN TOOLS
These authentic stone tool artifacts were fashioned by Neanderthals over 40,000 years ago out of flint and discovered in the world famous Neanderthal region of France, considered to be the "Capitol of Prehistory". The former open-air Neanderthal camp site there were collected on is now closed and protected by the government. Because collecting these artifacts has been off-limits for decades, genuine fine grade Mousterian Neanderthal tools such as this specimen are most certain to continue to appreciate in value as time goes on.
This is a set of TWO Mousterian TOOL CORES. They are fully depleted of yielding any more flakes to be struck off and used to make flake tools. You can see evidence of heavy use and forming by their former Neanderthal owners, in order to yield a specific shape flake. Both are an inexpensive addition that would compliment a larger collection of Mousterian tools, especially from this site. Intact mineral deposits and long-term patina on all flint surfaces testify to authenticity and lack of any modern alterations. Superb examples from this Neanderthal world region! NO RESTORATION, REPAIR OR MODERN DAMAGE.
