Product Description
Collected long ago when the Kem Kem deposits (now nearly devoid of good dinosaur material) once produced spectacular dinosaur fossils, this is a fossil dinosaur tooth from the large, swift meat-eater Deltadromeus agilis. Nice quality, properly identified specimens are very hard to find, and often are confused with thinner dromaeosaur teeth which are much more common. With much of the dinosaur fossil remains in this area now completely dug out and large parts of the formation leveled, it is likely that teeth like this will now be found mainly in older collections as this one was in.
This lateral tooth came from side of the jaw. There is some repair but the tooth is complete and has not been restored or filled in any areas. The Serrations are intact and crisp. The enamel is excellent with natural luster, not from being dipped in a clear sealer or coated with anything to artificially make it glossy. A wonderful grain pattern can be seen in the enamel.
