Product Description
This wonderfully preserved and dense fossil theropod dinosaur vertebra is from the largest meat-eating dinosaur, Carcharodontosaurus. Since fossil bones of Sahara dinosaurs are extremely scarce this is a fantastic opportunity to acquire a real dinosaur fossil from this famous apex predator of prehistoric North Africa. This specimen shows undeveloped centra faces, indicating it came from a juvenile dinosaur, still growing. This condition also did not fuse the dorsal process to the centrum so it is absent because of this immature dinosaur. Fossil dinosaur bones of the Kem Kem Beds, are extremely scarce and the price does not indicate the true rarity of this example.
