The set includes a complete fossil coral colony as well as two gastropod fossil shells. The coral looks like Brain Coral but is actually called Rose Coral and is a complete colony. The two shells are from a prehistoric fossil sea snail of the Strombus genus. They were collected by a long time, avid Florida fossil shell collector, in a shell pit in Florida, USA. The nature of finding a fossils in a shell pit, usually means that it will be heavily weathered and seriously damaged. Certainly, delicate features are almost always missing. What is rare about these fossils is that they are all in the finest preservation, complete and all the anatomy is still intact and well-preserved.
