The famous Cretaceous Kem Kem Red Beds in North Africa are well-known for a host of prehistoric vertebrate fossils. This region in the Northern Sahara, was once a fertile floodplain teeming with all sorts of prehistoric life including dinosaurs and other land reptiles, flying pterosaurs, sharks and fish.
This is a collection of genuine fossils found in that region. They are mostly fragments and some complete (with repair) rostral teeth of the large saw shark, Onchopristis numidus. There are also a few armored scales and other fossils of lungfish. Perfect for shops, teachers, schools, civic groups, gifts or kids fossil hunts. Each piece is natural and uncleaned, as found. For those starting out learning fossil cleaning and preparation, these pieces would be perfect for practicing. This collection would also make a fantastic way to introduce a child to the fascinating world of science and paleontology.
