This is a very large, fat UPPER fossil tusk of a strange beast of the last Ice Age in North America, the giant beaver Castoroides ohioensis. The main incisor tusks of this creature are a highly desirable and scarce Ice Age fossil. This is a fantastic specimen that is COMPLETE AND UNBROKEN. The tip displays a unique wear pattern from when the animal was alive. These tusks are extremely hard to locate in fine quality examples that are this long and without repair or restoration. There is surface erosion on the outer curve region. Enamel is a beautiful baby blue, gray and white with light cream brown interior surface. NO REPAIR and NO FABRICATION!
