Product Description
This amazing display fossil would make a fantastic interior design accent or memorable house-warming gift for anyone living near the ocean. It also happens to be a rare fossil of two different species of Jurassic-era ammonite fossils found in the High Atlas Mountains of North Africa. They are beautifully preserved on their host rock in full three dimensional form. Both are wonderfully detailed in a fully inflated form. The species include a Harpoceras ammonite on the left and a Phylloceras sp. ammonite which is uncommon for this sub-zone. The rock matrix elevates the group naturally and offers a superb multi-dimensional display that MUST be seen in person to fully grasp and appreciate. This exceptional fossil ammonite group is far nicer than they appear in the photos.
These species are found together in the Middle Jurassic Bajocian sediments of the Central High Atlas mountains in Morocco, North Africa. Perfect to accompany any advanced fossil marine life collection as well as a stunning and highly unique interior design fossil of pure natural history!
