This is a MAXIMUM SIZE, complete dromaeosaur "raptor" fossil dinosaur tooth. There is a nick from natural feeding damage, on the trailing edge of the serrations that makes it much more affordable versus if it were perfect. Otherwise, it is a spectacular specimen of incredible size with no repaired fractures, a sharp tip, naturally lustrous enamel, and crisp serrations. This tooth would make an impressive and memorable gift for any young collector getting started in a genuine dinosaur fossil collection. Most dromaeosaurs were only knee-high and about the size of small dogs, hence the very small teeth that are usually found.
Many African dinosaurs are yet undiscovered and/or identified. Saharan expeditions in the recent years have yielded incredible new discoveries of many species never known to exist including dromaeosaurs. There are likely several species of African dromaeosaurs, ranging from the size of a peacock up to the size of Velociraptor, that have never been attributed based on wide ranging characteristics of the teeth.
