Product Description
Protected deep within a Pleistocene gravel deposit in Central Europe, this is a rare and highly uncommon fossil skull of a baby extinct late Aurochs (Bos primigenius / taurus). It is in remarkable condition considering the remaining fragile anatomy that survived both the last Ice Age and the dredge that brought it up. Entire skull has been chemically treated to preserve and protect its condition. While not totally complete, a good portion of the skull is present and more impressive is the fact that BOTH TINY HORN CORES ARE COMPLETE AND INTACT.
