From the Upper Jurassic Period, this is a beautiful prehistoric ocean life fossil group showing fine preserved Perisphinctes species ammonite fossils with a main, extremely large ammonite of unknown species. With this ammonite, you can see two prehistoric fossilized oysters still attached to the shell before it was fossilized. With the ammonite are other various bivalve and ammonite fossils in a natural death assemblage. This piece shows a mass death event of a host of sea life fossils all buried together and preserved in lifelike form as they were 150 million years ago, when dinosaurs ruled the Earth.
