If you appreciate fossil specimens that are never seen on the market, then this beauty should appeal to you. The site where this example was collected has no commercial production, coming from an old Germany private collection. What is unique about it is that it is in its raw state as it was found, aside from a clear sealer placed on the main ammonite. The block of rock is intact with a very large partial unidentified ammonite and the matrix is loaded with a multitude of other ammonite and clam fossils as seen in the last photo. All colors are natural and many of the fossils display a natural orange-gold hue from their limonite staining. The main ammonite is fully inflated and is very three dimensional on the host rock.
For the collector or decorator that desires fossils in their natural state with no "beautification" this is a unique chance to display what fossil deposits look like "in the rough".
