Product Description
These sets contain THREE high-grade, intact teeth from Edmontosaurus annectens, the predominant hadrosaur species that can be found in the Hell Creek Formation of Northwestern U.S.A.. Similar to the way they were arranged in the dinosaur's jaw, we have hand-selected three relatively nice matches of worn teeth and lined them up for display. These are NOT FRAGMENTS of teeth but are the COMPLETE tooth that was naturally worn by feeding and then ejected from the jaw when the dinosaur was still alive. Hadrosaurs were prevalent in what is now the Hell Creek Formation. They were an important part of the food chain as these herbivores were a primary food source for the meat-eating dinosaurs in the same region, namely Tyrannosaurus rex, Nanotyrannus and Dromaeosaurs. No fossil tooth collection should be without fine examples such as these to display alongside fossils of the very dinosaurs that terrorized these peaceful beasts of the Late Cretaceous. Remember, these are SETS OF THREE high-grade, intact teeth.
Some examples of what each set looks like are shown above. Each set will be our pick but all are graded equally and similar in the fine quality shown above.
For its astonishing array of dangerous and large prehistoric predator fossils, no place has captured more attention or has been featured on television more than Hell Creek! This area is known to many as "the Valley of the T. rex!". The "duck-billed" Hadrosaurs and the "horned" dinosaurs like Triceratops were common prey for many large meat-eating dinosaurs of the famed region.
