At its maximum size, this 2.25 inch tooth is from the swift meat-eater Deltadromeus agilis. High grade, properly identified specimens are very hard to locate and it has been over 10 years since we have seen teeth of this quality. With much of the dinosaur fossil remains in this area now completely dug out and large parts of the formation leveled, it is likely that teeth like this will now be found mainly in older collections as this one was in.
The color is a beautiful golden hue with excellent enamel. Tooth is complete intact tip and is UNBROKEN WITH NO REPAIR OR RESTORATION. A single hairline NATURAL fissure across the middle is original and has been filled with silicified sand over the ages. Serrations are faint but visible. One of the last ones we have from an old acquisition made many years ago.
