CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT AMMONITES
This is an uncommon species of horned ammonite called Mamites. These ammonites are found in the Cretaceous sediments of the Central High Atlas mountains in Morocco. This unusually large specimen is complete with VERY RARE, fine grade preservation and its quality far exceeds most typically offered for sale. It has been prepared to stand an angle on its original matrix which has been prepared to serve as a natural base. This fossil ammonite presents itself as both, an amazing decorator display fossil as much as it is a highly desirable collection specimen. Shell detail is amazingly well-preserved with dramatic, heavy horn processes. Rare internal leaf-pattern anatomy is plainly visible! Perfect to accompany any advanced fossil marine life collection as well as a stunning and highly unique interior design fossil of pure natural history!
